Solinon Optik 18mm f/5.6 ASPH

Not seeing a thread on this wonderful new little lens from one man, Calvin. Look forward to seeing others work with it.



This is full frame at f/8 near it's close focus at the county fair on a M11. The lens is rangefinder coupled to 35.4″ / .9m, and uncoupled to 15″ / .38m.



While attending a wedding at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson, Florida took a photo of the stain glass before the service.

Full frame, wide open at 5.6.

I have a table at Saturday’s Cincinnati Camera Show and will have my copy of the lens with me. If going please stop by and say hi and you can take a look at the lens too.

I keep looking at these but I already have a Voigtlander 15/4.5 ver iii that seems to be an exceptional example for my M240 so can't really see the point. But it is very sharp wide open for an 18mm. I have to respect the guy who created this lens.

I like the idea of it too, but have an 18mm Super Elmar.
