I have purchased one from Alex at a ridiculous price. There is no doubt that for the one looking for parts this is a treasure for penauts. Here and there in the outside a screw is missing along with the whole helical mount and infinity lock missing too.
The main reason I can see for Alex to bury this camera to the parts cathegory is that a minor rust is eating it at many spots, making it for use a tremendous job of restoration. While I am disassembling it in pursue of two small parts, my heart is somewhat weaping for the fate of this sample. Not to be too much pathetic i am in no need of a tissue, and yet...
BTW the model is 80...., and seems to be a transitional model towards the 4AM, but with 4a knobs. All in all it is still of better quality design than the 4AM, thus for example the eyelets are screwed to the body, instead of the hammered ones in my 4AM. Who knows perhaps one day I will exchange the top casting squeleton of both.
Conclusion ? As always, there is no better thing than learning ourselves to put our hands in.
Cheers,
Ruben
