I must admit that all this film processing is starting to get to me a little. There are times when its very relaxing, but lately I've been finding it quite tedious - to the point that I've started playing with my DS dslr again (actually contemplating a K10D). Oh well, sometimes I get into these phases where I'm torn between having a RF in my hand (film) and the immediacy of digital. Of course the RD-1 or M8 would solve this
Cheers

Nice set of images, jky.
I would never give up my DSLR even though I shoot more film as of late. I do often wish that Pentax would make an even wider Limited than the DA21, that way I could bring along my DS more often to complement my M2 + Summicron 50/2.

Classic looking photography. Do you shoot with a coated lens?

Lovely shots, some are realy fascinating (the women in the bathrobe, and the priest in the box, for example).

Nice photos. I would love a trip to Rome right now. But I would settle for a good pizza.

Some stellar shots.
My favorite has to be "Good Business," it feels like an entire story caught up in one frame.

Nice shots, I've been thinking about going back to Rome for a third time this August.

Fantastic shots, JKY... I like them very much!!
Your images are "timeless", it's hard to say if they are shot now or in the sixties... ;-)
Very good job, indeed
I'm italian, and it's strange to see what kind of details catch the eye of somebody from an other country.
Thank you for sharing

Thanks you guys for the very generous and inspiring comments! I actually came back from the week long trip feeling a little unsure & slightly disappointed with what I thought the negatives held (... and I say this humbly... ). Many of you can relate to the feeling you have when you KNOW there's something good in the roll. On this trip, there was no such feeling... but great trip with the wife nonetheless! Of the 16 rolls I've developed so far, the set contained my personal favourites
Ducky: I was using the 35mm Skopar - it's a multicoated lens.
Mac_wt: A good pizza ain't so bad either
Franco: It's my second trip there, but definitely not my last!
Thanks again everyone.

Nice set indeed, jky! By the way, here is my Rome set from October 2006 shot with M2 (b&w) and Minilux (color) http://www.flickr.com/photos/jsuominen/sets/72157594368824220/

Good set, classic street-photography. A DSLR with a pancake lens, RD-1, M8, whatever, will suit you just fine. You got the eyes.

Hi JKY,
great shots and I totally agree with spiderfrank. Some of them are really timeless. They could easily be shot in the fifties or sixties. The lastest photobook I bought, "The Italians" by .... (have to check later) is very similar and indeed it is from that aera. Good work!

I have the book, too and it's by Bruno Barbey. Many shots in that book are shot with wide angle lens.

Nice shots...much better than what I got last month. Too hot, too rushed to get back to the tour. I'd like to go again without a tour, and in cooler weather.

Again, thanks for the comments! There's still a few more rolls left to process, but it won't be happening any time soon...
If there's any worthy pics on the left-overs, I'll bump this thread.
Cheers & the kind words are much appreciated
