Guys, I think I am going crazy. I keep dreaming of cameras. sometimes it will be just about using them, but sometimes I'll dream up some non-existant equipment. Like a red Fed2-SLR! Last night I dreamt of a russian vario lens: 8-24-25 mm. I got it really cheap from e-boy. I was playing around with it and wondering why they would make such a strange combination. 😱

i am going nuts:bang:

Count yourself fortunate you're not having nightmares.

ie; the recurring dawn shot on the beach where you turn away a minute.. and the tripod and DSLR etc falls over into the surf...

That's the easy part: your subconscious wants a Viso housing for your FED!

I have so many wives by that reckoning - but so few get to consort with me ...

Should I have favourites ... ??

And gaze at those so far away in the land of e-bay ... ??

Once I had a dream in which one of the scenes was a small shop full of FSU cameras, whose owner left, or without anyone around. I remember myself during the dream "to steal or not to steal"....

Cheers,
Ruben

Hmmm - not so long ago , it was possible to go into a toy shop and find old unwanted Dinky Toys gathering dust with their original boxes - or a camera shop and find new old cameras gathering dust ... or was it really a long time ago .... ?

Simply a symptom of obsession... no concern unless you dream also of spending money for the goods. 😀

It's my pattern over many years to put myself to sleep at night "daydreaming" of whatever hobby or project of interest at the time, concentrating on the pleasant parts of course. Planning a motorcycle trip by mapping out the route in my mind, filling in the details out of past trips.

Nowadays I may consider how I'd use a certain lens, what subjects and light it's best suited for, etc. Next thing I know, it's time to get up and do what I was thinking about. I think this opportunity to mull over the ideas helps later in putting them to action. That's not so crazy, is it? 🙂
