Sony and Zeiss to offer "Alpha" mount lenses for Minolta Maxxum/Dynax and Sony DSLR
Did anyone see this? Sony and Carl Zeiss expand forces to offer enhanced imaging for DSLR Cameras. "The first three ZA lenses will be the Planar T* 1,4/85 ZA, the Sonnar T* 1,8/135 ZA, and the Vario-Sonnar T* DT 3,5-4,5/16-80 ZA. These lenses will be introduced at Photokina, the world's largest photo trade show, which opens its doors in Cologne on Sept. 26," the announcement says.
Not that it matters to me, since I have none of these camera bodies, but it is amazing how the Zeiss empire is growing into new mounts. I wonder if they will also make a 135mm/1.8 and similar 16-80mm Zoom for the Nikon mount ZF series (the 135mm/1.8 might be tempting to me in Nikon mount).
