Yes! I'm certainly interested in knowing more about it - although (sad to say) I'm actually expecting to learn something fundamentally disappointing about it...
Taking off my scepticism hat just for a moment though, I do perceive great potential in the RX10.

I like small operational LCD on top allowing to set camera without switching on or looking at large screen on back of camera.

Actually the most important part of this camera was the fact that for video, it reads every sensor, instead of line skipping. The true 1080p look and cleanliness and sharpness of the video is absolutely stunning.
For photos, it is really the ultimate carry-around vacation cam ... lol. But I can really see it becoming a staple with a lot of videographers who use Panasonic GH2/GH3 and Canon 5D MKIII with Magic Lantern.

Yes, I do - in fact I prefer a mechanical zoom, but it isn't overly important. If the rest of the RX10 matches what I'd like, then I'd be inclined to buy it.

Well Olympus is rumored to be ready to announce their version of 28-300 as opposed to 24-200. The Olympus version to my eye looks better, but has a smaller sensor.
I think the rx10 has a nice zoom range (not pushing the limits) and w/ that sensor should be an excellent camera.
Anyway.. I am not currently interested.. I was really really hoping for the rx10 to be a apsc version of the rx1

I like the 24 and the 200 ends of the zoom...I doubt that I would ever use anything longer and I love the 24 fov...maybe someday...

Steve Huff got to take one home from the Sony event... Looks like we will c a review soon...

A constant 24-200f2.8 zoom in a 1 inch sensor, the more I think about , u guys are right it would not be bad for going on vacation. I use the rx100 for this purpose sometimes.
In terms of looks, I never liked this style... Wished it was either a more slr or rectanglar kind of look. Anyway, looks aren't everything, so long as it delivers the goods.
My rx100 version 1 is good to iso 800. I have heard that the version 2 gained a stop. I wonder if the rx10 is better than 1 stop to offset the f2.8 vs 1.8 that the rx100 has @28mm.
Having better zoom range and a constant f2.8 is a real plus. If wide open, the iq is pretty decent, then I think they have another winner here...
Another camera to keep an eye on... So Joe, are u going to replace your rx100 u sold for this one

just watched a couple of videos on utoob about the rx10…if the image quality is consistent throughout the zoom range i think it could be a winner.
i like the looks of it…reminds me of the porsche designed contax cameras…
though not a fan of zooms i am intrigued...

Nice camera.. Looks a bit on the high side in terms of price but if that 24-200 equiv zoom is really up to the iq as the rx1, then it is probably well worth the price. I like that they have the aperture ring on the lens.
My travel cameras of choice are the x100, dp2m, and the rx100v1..mix and match depending on the situation. Until they give up the ghost... I am gas protected...
The zoom range is quite nice. Couple w/ a constant f2.8 and decent high iso..

Very impressive looking camera!
I have an RX100, so most of my usage for it is already covered, but for some reason I keep eyeing up this one.

Why, one must ask, is this thing so god-awful ugly? Surely one can make a smaller, more elegant lens these days? Look how tiny a Canon 35/2 rangefinder lens was, in 1960. These cameras just keep getting more and more front-heavy, like electronic Dustin Hoffmans.

I wonder what a Canon 24mm-200mm zoom would have looked like in 1960.
