Sound of Shutter in EPL1 & GF1?

Over a year ago, DPReview commented on the loud 'click-clack' sound of the Lumix G1 shutter. I've been told that sound is quieter in the newer models.

I'd appreciate feedback on this, I'll be getting an Oly EPL1 later this summer. Thanks...

I have a EPL-1 and a G1... the shutter noise difference is statistically insignificant. 🙄

* only small children and dogs seen to notice it. Adults are usually too busy talking...and they never seem to notice...

I have a Leica III f that sounds like a 22 ca. rifle, now that turned heads...
