How about a Rodenstock lens -- they are plentyful on fleabay, and they are really, really good...

let me check. i bid on a Rodenstock 105mm f5.6 Rodagon-G and the price got pretty high quickly. the japanese lenses seem to be better priced and thats fine with me. :) i dont really like ebay for this search.

Call B&H or Adorama's used dept. They'd likely have a few to choose from.

edit- just saw where you are. You may not want to deal with B&H or Adorama.

Rodenstocks are nice...I'm using the Rodagon 105mm 5.6 on my Beserler 23c...I also have a Rodagon 135mm 5.6 but not using it...I picked them up a few years ago for a great price...The 105 is plenty big enough for up to 6x9 so I've never had a use for the 135 but the price was right at the time...
Try a local camera swap meet if you have any...keep watching ebay...or craigslist...

you named yourself nikon_sam and dont recommend an EL-nikkor?
like i said the Rodagon was kinda expensive compared.
heres the one i bid on

heres comparable nikkor.

i dont think the Rodenstock is such an improvement over the nikkor, to justify the cost. maybe im wrong and should have bought the Rodenstock anyway. im not trying to say you are wrong or anything, but it is a chunk more money.

heres one that i imagine will go for even more money.

The EL-Nikkor 50mm f4 was my first Nikon anything...I still own that lense but right now I'm using a Minolta C.E. Rokkor-X 50mm 2.8 that came with a yard sale Beseler 23c enlarger...

hmm i was wrong, the APO lens went for less money than the 105mm f5.6 Rodagon. this is why i dont like ebay, i was thinking the apo lens was more valuable but apparently it must have been a bidder war on the other one.

Just a couple weeks ago I put a WTB ad up on APUG for a decent enlarger lens to cover 6x7. Within a day I had 4 or 5 replies including a 90mm Fujinon, APO-Rodagon 90mm, and Componon-S 100mm, all with fair prices. I went with the Componon-S, received it yesterday, and started printing last night :)

I can put you in touch with the guy who had the Fujinon and APO-Rodagon if you have any interest. Let me know.

FYI- someone just put up an ad here with, among other things, an El-Nikkor 105 enlarging lens for $25...

They actually are, but prices on fleabay can be very erratic -- if you have the patience, just keep on looking for one. I picked up a set of modern Rodenstocks (80 / 105 / 150) for less than $80, each, a couple of years ago...

here is what i can get at the moment
tell me if this is a good deal-to me i like what you paid personally :)

90mm f/4 APO-Rodagon - $200 plus shipping

Again, from memory, the glass is near-new. I recall there's a small
bump on the rear rim that I've never bothered to have straightened.
There doesn't seem to be any collateral damage. This was an impulse
purchase a while ago

depends on its coverage. i do not want light falloff. :)

have a look at the following thread : http://photo.net/medium-format-photography-forum/000McE it sounds like the 80mm is usable if stopped down 2-3 stops, and is esp. useful if your enlarger head has a normal (rather than XL) distance to the base. conservative view: 105mm is probably safer to avoid light fall-off.

let me know if you are interested in the schneider?

greetings from hamburg

rick
