I'm bitten heavily by the Nikon RF worm, so i guess there is no way back now...

I'm about to decide between an S3 or SP, i had an SP in my hands for the first time yesteday (and i become sorely tempted...) so smooth, silent and the viewfinder is just impressive. what a nice piece of engineering,

i noticed a 'strange' behaviour on the particular camera, the film advance lever did not retract to original 'park' position again, it remained slightly out (around 20°) and couldn't be retracted fully. is that behaviour normal for SP? I have to mention that there was no film loaded, the camera cound wind normally (to around 130° position) and released perfectly, back to 20°, just that the lever couldn't go back to original 'park' position, it stayed out at 20°, is there a trick i have overseen? i didn't find anything useful in the SP manual... or did the camera have a problem?

also I avoided to force the lever back, because i didn't want to break anything.. i tryed, A / R position different combinations. but no luck so far.

hopefully there is an easy fix.. would be glad for some user feedback.

if i can settle this point, i might buy the darn camera...

never mind, problem solved, it just need enough 'force' to snap back to park position, i was too afraid to break something.. :D

The operation of your advance lever is normal. It is still out a little bit to allow faster advancing of the lever. It is a very useful feature. It was so useful that the speed in adavancing film was so good that my grandfather never bought the motordirve for the camera. The Nikon F's also do the same thing leaving the advance lever out a little.
