My son Owen (that's him in the third shot) competed at a speedsolving (that is, hand puzzles like the Rubik's cube and the like) competition at MIT this weekend...needless to say I brought along the M8. With Canon 85/1.9 and ZM 28/2.8. More here!

Here's Owen with world famous speedcuber Ron Van Bruchem. Needless to say, Bruchem smoked the boy by a good twenty seconds.

Owen would definitely want you to know that this is his best time WITH ONE HAND. He's done 25 seconds with two. Which is still not enough even to advance into the second round of this thing!

Nice series to have and keep. I never could do those things. Why bw? There seemed to be lots of color there.
One smart kid: congrats to both of you.

A few of them just looked better in B&W...the colors were so varied they were making the subjects disappear.

He's a great kid--I used to do the original cube but he beat my best after about a week and a half with the thing.

That's just another thing I was never good at...I recognize the Student Center at MIT (second shot)...does your son plan on attending MIT ???
