A question for all of those who use more than one filter at a time on their Sonnar-C - do you see any vignetting?
My intention is to add a ND filter to my yellow filter sometimes, when I want to be able to shoot at wider aperture settings, but don't know if stacking two filters on the Sonnar, will result in any sort of additional vignetting. Not against vignetting, but just curious
Thanks in advance

i never used two filters on mine, but my guess is that when you shoot with 50mm thru a 46mm filter thread you have plenty space. as long as you don't use those old ultra thick filters you should get no more vignette than you'd get from a wide open lens anyway.

Yes, that would be my suspicion. Never been worried about vignetting to be honest, but was curious if stacking two filters would accentuate the vignetting you see, especially as my intention would be to shoot wide open more frequently by adding an ND filter to my usual yellow.

I've used two filters with this lens before and got not vignetting at all. However make sure you compensate enough if you are shooting in AE TTL mode
as the meter sometimes struggles to read properly, specially with red filters.
