I am leaving El Paso later this week on a motorcycle trip to the East Coast (DC) and New York City. Then I will swing through Pittsburg visiting a friend who used to shoot for NATIONAL GEO before continuing west to southern Indiana ending up in St Louis with my sister.

The purpose of the trip is to leave a motorcycle in STL so I have something to ride when I visit (they have Harleys) but I wish to hit a few museums (primarily the Marine Museum in Quantico) and visiting my friend in Pittsburg. I taught her how to develop black and white film back at Indiana University in 1971. And southern Indiana is where I grew up so memories and family visit.

Of course I also want to take photos and the strange bedfellows I am referring to in the title are the two cameras I plan on packing. Normally, it would be a Leica and a couple lenses but I have decided to take a recently acquired FujiX100F and my old Nikon F with 55 Micro Nikkor. The Nikon is going for nostalgia while the Fuji is going because it is so much fun.

Now I think the Fuji and Nikon are somewhat of a strange mix so it got me to wondering if others have traveled with an odd assortment of cameras and what others consider odd.
