Strange dark negs - any ideas?

In the last 6 negs on this roll, 2 were normal and 4 showed the following dark patch on the right side of the frame. Shutter speed was probably 1/500. Camera is a Pentax MX with horizontal-travel focal plane shutter.

Is this shutter capping?
