I've very rarely purchased any camera-specific staps, and just used gym/shoulder bag straps or whatever on the rare occasions I decided to carry a camera with one.
In considering one recently, I came across strapworks.com. Seems like a cool site for many applications, but for anyone looking for an inexpensive camera strap , it seems to be a great place. Not leather old-world-craftsmanship, but $5-10 nylon or polypro straps in your choice of width, length, color, adjustment, attachment hardware, etc.
Thought I'd share, as it might be of interest to those of us who don't wanna pay big bucks for a simple item, but have specific needs...
Still considering whether I want to use a strap myself, but buying something for a few bucks doesn't seem like the commitment you have to make in order to drop $40+ on a freaking piece of leather/material to hang a camera with.
