I took a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last month and thought I'd share some of my photos.

All photos were taken with my R2. The wide angle shots were using the CV 15/4.5 while the non-wide angle shots were with the CV 40/1.4MC.

Beaches are good. Especially if you live in Calgary.

While in the British Virgin Islands a l-o-n-g time ago, I ran into a local cabbie who said he made about $8000 a year while his sister in Cleveland made about $40,000. I asked him why he didn't move to Cleveland. He said: "Have you ever been to Cleveland?"

(Sorry, Clevelanders, but no one uses the phrase 'lake effect' in the Caribbean.)

No reaction to the first photo? It's just plain wonderful: two women from a film (the bridge) to another one (the shadow of the bridge), through a strip of light. Just wonderful, really. Evocateur, poétique, comme une photographie de la photographie.

Rather than post photos, I would invite everyone to see the series I shot over six months on the Daytona Beach Boardwalk http://bobmichaels.org/boardwalk-intro.htm

It was very interesting shooting for six months in an area that you could cover on foot in a matter of minutes. I got to know everyone who worked there.

Also interesting shooting Fuji Astia in a Mamiya 7 in direct sun and indoors.

Great photos all! Having lived 3 years in the British Virgin Islands (15 years ago), I had forgotten about the magic of the beach! You've all brought it back for me! Thanks!

Maybe I've posted this a few times on RFF, but anyway... taken with my Rolleiflex 2.8F and Ilford HP5+ in Busan, Korea.
