Over the weekend, I was honored to participate in our Art Stroll at Serenbe. With over 50 artists exhibiting, I met a lot of very nice people who happen to enjoy being photographers. More than one mentioned that they do not have a "style" or niche but they enjoy photography immensely.
One lady who had an exhibit on the village green asked me, "Just what IS street photography?". I started a short diatribe by pointing to her own images where she actually produced such results but she still did not quite understand.
So, I thought it would be nice for us all to post our "Street Photography" here as examples to those who are still struggling with this term. So, I will post the first one I come to in my files....

I think so and this image is fantastic. I love the shadow and light. More than just an image of people, street photography has to draw you in, and this image does that.
Does that count?

I shoot far less 'street' than I used to, hell...I shoot far less of everything than I used to. Street is a tough genre to crack, alot of folks can shoot pics of people crossing the street, people in the street or sidewalk but to create a good street shot there needs to be some serendipity invloved. As said above it needs to pull you in, capture or hold your attention. Many try and many fail, myself included, and I think this thread will show that truth.
