I think this is where this goes... please let me know otherwise
I just recently stumbled across RFF and have quickly found it to be one of my favorite photography forums. This is my first thread here... woo! Anyway, I had planned on giving a proper introduction to myself, but I just finished scanning these photos so I'll save the intro for later. Cheers!
These are just some recents of Chicago and one of Kansas City. Been running around recently with a $3 Minolta 7s and Tri-X educated-guessing exposures.

Thanks for looking!

Well, these are all interesting pictures, and very well executed as well. I like the last one the best, but the one with the two figures looking down is very good, too. Very HCB-like with that repetition. Congratulations on the $3 Minolta. Your exposure "guesses" are very well educated indeed! Welcome.

The last shot is captivating. I also like the 6th shot very much- nive to see a helping hand.
Congratulations on the $3 Minolta 7s. I still have my Minolta 9 from 1969. It was $80 THEN.

Hi Greg, welcome here at RFF!
I think picture no. 6 (the people waiting for the bus) is a really good catch!
At first glance they look like a tightknit group, then you see the ones in the front in all likelihood do not know the two in the back of the line and vice versa... but in the sense they are all waiting for the bus, they ARE a group. Really great also that there is a bus coming and some look in that direction. Really nice!
Greetings, Ljós

Yeah it was a great find. Every once in a while Central Camera sells off a bunch of old things laying around like busted cameras or strange lenses. I had only shot SLRs (for 35mm) before so I started looking for any rangefinder that would advance film. This was the only one, but it has turned out great. The meter doesn't work but everything else does... and the 45mm f/1.8 aint bad for the price.
Only problem is I have the Leica itch now.
