As I stated in my other M9 thread (back to the cult of M), it's good to be back into the fold. One thing that has given me pause (which I actually enjoy) is getting used to basic metering instead of matrix-style.

I thought I'd share a few images from Paris last week. I got my M9 and lens about a week prior to this trip, and I've been very pleased.

Thanks!

Yes, these are all shot with the Biogon 35/2. It's razor sharp. In fact, I had to dial down the definition a bit to make them look more like 35mm film.

I simply adored this lens on my M9, then I sold the M9 and convinced myself that on film I would need the extra stop of the Summilux.

I think it's time to go out and search for one :)

regards, Horea

I had this same lens on my M6. I thought the Biogon made the most of the Tri-X sharpness.

Good luck with your hunt...and thanks again!

paris is my favorite city for photography. lovely shots that show off what the excellent equipment is capable of when in good hands.

Very nice images. Aside from its technical merits the M9 must be a fun camera to take for a stroll.

Paris is a fantastic place, especially in August when it's relatively tranquil. Great photos of my favorite city!

Thanks everyone.

I find it extremely difficult to make unique pictures in Paris...the city has been photographed so many times from so many different vantage points (by so many really good photographers!). So, I found myself giving in to cliche on occasion. Mostly, I just photographed my family as we made our way through the city. That at least made some unique captures :D

That lens looks great on the M9. Wonderful shots, and looking forward to more of your work with that kit!

Nice. Makes me want to go back to Paris (haven't been since '07:( ) and shoot some b&w which I rarely do. Maybe take my M4 and some of the b&w film my wife keeps threatening to throw out of the freezer.

Enjoyed your efforts very much, David. Paris is such an extraordinary city with
so much charm and so much to photograph. You've done an excellent job! When
I go to venues like this I try to get pictures like these. Thanks so much for sharing.
