Today I received a really nice Yashica G model, but probably the later version with ASA up to 1000. I didn't know they made the G model with that feature. It's in excellent condition with a few bugs which I can take care of, but, the first thing I noticed is that the aperature blades are stuck at F16. I placed a battery in it and the shutter appears to be functioning, but eventually I'll replace the POD. The aperature blades look clean without any oil on them, but changing the aperature ring doesn't move them. Is that something internal like a spring off somewhere or should I remove the lens elements to attempt to move the blades very carefully to see if they will move. I'll also need to change the bottom spring in the battery chamber as the one in there has some oxidization on them. With the shape this one is in it looks to be well worth working on.
