I anticipate having some $ in my Paypal account soon and am thinking of buying a significant amount of 120 HP5 film less expensively on-line. I've not done this before and would appreciate any suggestions as to where to look that will accept PayPal as payment form. Thanks!

I've always had good luck with Photosuperia.com. They generally have good prices on both roll film and 35MM. They have a bulk special on elite chrome going now.

Thanks Jeff, I'll check them out.

For reference, 120 HP5+ is $5.20 per roll locally at Vistek, Toronto.

Jeff -

Thanks for the suggestion. Never heard of these guy, but for the prices they have listed, they're very competitive. But - geez, I never saw a "call for price" to pick up a roll of Tri-X. Looks like all their b&w film (all I looked at) is "call for price". Never saw that on low-ticket stuff, but - hey, if it saves me a bit I'll call. Why not? It's an 800 number, their dime.

'hunts photo and video' on ebay is good.
i have bought several times from them.
they take paypal and ship usps, not ups!

I've bought from Photoco in Quebec. Their prices are good but they can't seem to do anything right. After ordering 20 rolls of TX400 120, they sent me TXP320. It took a few weeks to get that straightened out because TX400 120 was back-ordered by Kodak. This past Feb. 27th I ordered two 25-sheet packages of Ilford fibre based paper and have yet to receive anything. To compensate somewhat, the shipping charges are very low and there's no PST. Next time, I plan to call them first and check to be sure they have what I want in stock and can ship immediately.

How about Freestyle ? They ship to Canada.

They have HP5+ for $3.39 a roll.

They HEAVILY support the film and darkroom community and that is where I get all of my supplies from.

Nick:

He likes to put together deals for customers. He has very competitive pricing on 24 image Tri-X that he rolls for you. You buy it by the box of 20. Always found him to be fair and very competitive.

I just bought 30 rolls of colour neg on Nelsonfoto...that's the last colour film purchase I'll ever need to make!
