Suggestions for repair of Nikon FE2 shutter

Hi - wonder if anyone can help direct me to a possible repair person. My friend has a Nikon FE2 with a shutter damaged beyond repair, but the rest of
the camera is in really excellent condition. Any idea who could replace the shutter module?
I tried Nikon Canada, and Youxin - but no luck.

I recently sent them a Nikon EM, which i thought only needed foam seals. They said the shutter was shot, and the estimate was $120.

Send them an email and ask the pertinent questions.

Or, possibly just try to find another FE2. Craigslist or Ebay might find you one for only a little more than the repair cost, although you may find more security in a 'just-repaired' body. As well, used manual focus Nikons almost always seem to need foam seals, as well, so tack that on....

You could try Pete Smith of Fotocamera Repair Inc in Florida. The previous suggestion of simply finding another FE2 may in the end be the most economical route to go.

Almost certainly cheaper to buy another one. My FE2 was $100, and works perfectly.
