Summicron 35 f2 Type 2 Hood Recommendations

I just bought a Summicron 35 f2 Type 2 and I'm looking to add a hood. I bought a hood fro Heavystar on eBay for my Summicron 50, but the threads are so bad that it won't even screw into the 35. I've heard that the square hoods reduce flare better, but they also need to be modified to fit on a Type 2. Any input would be most appreciated.

You could try contacting DAG (or some other reputable repair person) to se if he could re-tap your filter threads.

But in any case, if the threads don't work then your only alternative would be to go to a Leica 12585, 12504, or IROOA clip-on shade.

Any of the vented shades work fine on 35`s and will work on a 50 also.
