Hi,
I was checking out a Summilux 50mm forsale, but the infinity seems to be hazy. I am not sure if this is really a problem ? I compared with my 40mm Rokkor M, and at infinity, the Rokkor was sharper and rendered more details.
I posted the comparison pictures here. Let me know what you think.

A 50mm lens has less DoF than a 40mm naturally. To do valid comparos, pleasure ensure that your camera stands at the same place (on a tripod preferably) and that you focus exactly on the same point. Better show larger pics as well.

They look OK in the center, not sure what you mean by "hazy". Hard to tell the difference without more resolution.

It seems to me that you may be confusing contrast with sharpness? The Rokkor does look like it has more contrast, but without a high resolution image its hard to say if its sharper. But the contrast is how the lens renders the scene, and many people prefer lower contrast lenses, and many prefer higher contrast lenses. Try to even out the contrast in post processing and then see which is sharper.
