super cheap 35mm color at Walgreens (USA, DC area)

Hey all,

I was just at Walgreens in LaPlata, Md, and their Kodak 400 24exp 3-pack was 2.99.

Just putting the word out for anyone in my area that they may get a deal, and let anyone who has a walgreens nearby know to check and see.

And yes, i bought all 5 boxes they had.

Nice score! Personally I only buy 36 exp rolls as it costs me the same to get 24 or 36 developed and scanned. But $1 a roll for fresh film? Sweet!

Last time an announcement like this, like a big vacuum took all the closeout film stock out of CVS stores everywhere.

I hit the Waldorf Walgreens as well. They had the same pricing.

And i checked; It's all in date. EXP 2018.

That's $1 cheaper than the regular price in Lusby, MD. They weren't running the $2.99 pricing.

It could be they noticed the mistake.

We have a similar thing here in the UK. Poundland stocks Agfa Vista Plus at er.. £1. I tend to use it a lot for day to day shooting. I notice several 'entrepreneurs' on the 'BayUK selling it on for double that. Always in date but mostly 24exp. I pick some up whenever I am passing.

That's a great value, I wish I had consistent access to film at that price. This $2.99 a 3-pack thing seems to be a pricing error or something.

Checked out my local LA shop - only film items they had were disposable cameras. There was a lot of empty space on the shelf between them so maybe someone lucked in and cleaned them out!
