I recently got a nice Super Ikonta B c 1951, great overall condition except the bellows really need replacing. At the moment I have a couple of light leaks patched with Liquid Electrical tape and a previous owner had used some regular electrical tape, making it a bit clumsy to fold closed, works OK in the short run but I was thinking one of Jurgen Kreckel's (certo6) nice colour selections would look nice. However I see his website is no longer happening but he still is selling stuff. I emailed him but still waiting for reply. Is he out of the repair biz?
Who else replaces Super Ikonta B bellows these days?
The camera really is a wonder of its class, this one has the Tessar 2.8 8cm lens on it, a beaut.

I've heard some people sing his praises, but more seem to wish they had never dealt w/ him, including some people I know personally. If it were me I would look elsewhere for a new bellows.

Whenever I asked Jürgen to sell me a couple of bellows for me to replace on my own, basically I only received evasions and that was several years ago... So, now I make my own bellows. Being based in Europe also makes it easier, avoiding the hassle of papers, customs, trans-oceanic post times, and so on.
I own also one Super Ikonta B (late model, all chromed) and it's one of my favorites. Really worth the restoration.

You could send a PM to Fallisphoto (lives in the USA) , also a member on this forum, and ask him. He does nice restorations of vintage folders.
The new bellows for my isolettes came from Sandeha Lynch (GB) and Custombellows (GB).
Like jnoir i also e-mailed Jurgen Kreckel if i could buy bellows from him but he never bothered to answer me.
Regards,
Hans
