I recently purchased a Swiss back pack made by the Swiss Army Knife people.
It's just the right size for day outings and I like it a lot. I'm wondering if I can fashion an insert at the bottom so I can put things in the bag without just dropping them in loosely? Anybody know of such an insert?

Don't Domke make inserts? Maybe one of them would fit?

Thanks, I'm looking into it. Domke makes many and I will find something suitable. Thanks again.

Don't overlook Pelican & Lowe Pro, they may have something that will do the trick.

Here ya go Paul, it's a Swiss backpack medium size, weighs about 2 lb. Nice and sturdy construction with large zipper handles which I really am happy about. I can put in a days outing, like 2 cameras (one is a DSLR) and two lenses, film, flash, water and could still cram way more and since the weight is distributed very easy to carry.
