Hi all, a few weeks ago I asked for some advice regarding travel gear. It was a 2 week journey through Taiwan and a few days in Japan. A lot of you gave really helpful suggestions and ultimately I brought the Leica M3 + VC 40mm f1.4 lens, along with the trusty Fuji Natura Black. The film I brought are Velvia 50, Kodak Tmax400, and Kodak Ektar 100.

Here are some results, all taken with Leica M3 and VC 40mm f1.4, Tmax400. All critique are appreciated!

Thank you, Jarno! I would also recommend Sushi Daiwo, two doors down from Sushi Dai. Very good, and yes, long waits. But very worthwhile!

Nice photos. Looking at the bun photo made me hungry. I used to enjoy those places in Korea as well. We had a couple of favorite places for that in Seoul. My wife makes them as well.

Thank you sir, you're a very lucky man! I wish we can have more of those kind of places here in southern California, but of course, that'll never happen...reason to travel more, I suppose.

I think you need to get closer for your photographs. You seem to have a good eye, and no problems finding interesting things or scenes...but it feels to me too far away.
Sometimes that's good in some photos - a bit of context can be good, but these ones would be improved by getting closer.
Just my opinion, respectfully offered.

Hi Colin,
I believe you're correct. Thank you very much for the critique! I do agree with the assessment, so that will be something I will have to be cognizant of in the future when shooting. Thanks again, truly appreciate it!

I am going to Kaosiung in two weeks. Was seriously considering getting a fast super-wide lens. Maybe all I need is a Fuji Natura Black.
