hi there everyone.
I'm a new member here on the forum. have been reading posts here for a while, but found out it was time to register.
a little while ago I inherited a shoebox filled with photos from the fifties and a neat camera called balda baldinette from my grandfather. even though the camera might not classify as a rangefinder I ask you guys here because I've not been able to find any other photoforum with such knowledge aboud older cameras as this one.
the baldinette is a folding fixed lens camera with schneider-kreuznach optics.
I'd really like to try this camera, but the takeup spool is missing. does anyone know if there is a standard spool I can use? I've seen several for leica on ebay, but don't know if this may fit.
and a little footnote:
the pictures in the shoebox was all taken with the baldinette, and they look outstanding.
my grandfather was a professional photographer once, and as I learned from him he only used sunny16 for outdoor photography all the time with this baldinette. I was totally stunned by the pictures.
