Are there any current production wide and tele convertors, or perhaps a source other than ebay that sells these to fit the gsn?

You could try the ones that are sold for digital cameras, as long as they have a 55mm thread they should be fine.

Now the finder is a different issue, good luck finding one.

I'm trying to recall, its been a loong time... but didn't the GSN tele and wide converters require you to reset the focus distance? And they didnt really change the focal length all that much.

Yes, the original adapters needed a correction of the distance after measuring via the viewfinder. Every adapter had a list of correction distances printed on it. The use is not very quick and the effect not very strong. I bought my set for my GTN for too much money and used it seldom before selling it. Here (at the end of the manual) http://www.cameramanuals.org/yashica_pdf/yashica_electro_35_gsn-1.pdf you can find some technical data.

So if someone would substitute another type of adapter they wouldn't have any correction table for the GSN on them and the shots would be out of focus...

Weren't they kind of useless only differing like 7 or 10mm from the field of view of the normal lens?

I have a set, including finder, near Cambridge, UK that I'm never going to use. Let me know here if you want them and we can come to a deal.

Best wishes,

Alastair
