Took some pics of the various lenses for comparison on my M8. Wanna guess which lens I ended up buying?

The Canon is a great lens. Just a bit long as single lens for the M8, IMHO.

I actually have the Canon and Voigtlander. Had a 35 pre-asph in titanium and sold it due to the bad conditions of the elements. Bought the bokeh king now as my only Leica.

+1 for the Canon, with the 35 Summi ASPH as runner up, except for the bokeh. But, from the pictures, bokeh was an important part of the decision.

I'd say you bought the Summicron 35mm f2.0 ASPH. Sharpest and still a nice bokeh.
The Canon 1.4 shot is good though, but the fact that the others look slightly overexposed might have to do with that.

I bought the Canon and already have the VC 50 f1.5 (May sell it since it's kinda duplicate and get a 28). The Summicron V4 is the latest I've bought yesterday. I have the 35 lux pre-asph before. it's titanium but rear elements badly hazed and scratches on both front/rear elements. Sold it but kept the hood n series 7 UV/IR filter so will source for a mint copy next time.
Here's a shot of the Bokeh king.

Will take more pices with my Canon and Bokeh King next time, but here's a few shots with Canon on film MP.
