I bought a plustek film scanner a while back and have been perfecting my technique. Here are a couple of test scans. My workflow is approximately this.
Scan C41 film at 3600 dpi setting using Silverfast SE software.
Adjust and run dust and scratch removal utility in Silverfast.
Edit photo in Photoshop Elements 4. Auto colour balance and auto correct.
Profile image with Noise Ninja and filter.
Open image in Photoshop and save as jpeg high quality and jpeg for web.
The truck shot is with a J3 focused on the mirror. The dog house is with an Elmar 50/3.5. Can't remember my exposures. The main purpose is to get scanning film and learn the ins and outs of it.
