A couple of weeks ago I saw Kully's ad for a Canon VT body with a few minor problems advertised for a great price. I frankly thought it was too good to be true, but responded anyway.

His package came today from the UK partly covered with green US HOMELAND SECURITY tape, and the camera is indeed "as described", and Kully even threw in 4 rolls of film!

I REALLY LIKE the bottom-plate film advance lever; very quick. And I also like the built-in 35mm viewfinder, as this is becoming my favorite lens length. As mentioned in Kully's ad, the top-plate film advance knob does not work, but the bottom lever more than makes up for this "problem".

I think my Leica M2 will be staying home more, and will be mostly replaced by Kully's Canon VT. Other than handling a friend's Canon IVSB, this is my first Canon VT, so I'm off to do some "Googling" and reading up on old RFF Canon Forum posts.

Vic, the knob on my Canon VT does pull up, and I found I can wind the film, BUT it often slips.. it does not stay in place. (The seller clearly stated this problem, and the bottom-advance lever works great.)

In the future I'll send it in for repair. Anyone suggest a good Canon VT repairman in North America?
