Shoot into the light
There is a shop next to Melbourne-Central, on little Lonsdale st. In the window you could espy lots of cannonet fare and may some cine cameras and maybe some projectors, folders and other things of yore. It is near the library, not far from the ugly bubble of Melbourne-central. On the door it reads (in days of yore) only from 1 'till 3 o'clock 'till my Leonore shall show (shut UP, no more the fake Poe).
Anyway each time I go there it is closed. 'cept for some 2 times when an aged Chinese lass did talk obsequeously with buddies in language I did not know.
I did see with my very own eyes a cabinet full of treasures named "Zeiss Ikonta"
and folders (with bellows tore). Maybe a Contax (II, III) or so I did see. With extremely inflated price and no sense of glee.
But recently it has been closed every time I go there.
WTF! Has anybody seen it open recently?

I know that shop... um... can't remember what it's called but it's always been closed when I've walked past. Much to my chagrin.
Aha! It's called Peony Garden! I shall make it my mission to be there when it's open! (one day)

Yah that's the one. Add a couple more attempts to check it out again.
Did I mention the prices were expensive? Maybe they bargain...
Actually I think there's a restaurant above it. That might be "Peony Garden".
Who knows. Maybe it's a front for a drug kitchen.

The drug is called GAS and I understand that it has irreversible affects on one's financial well being. I'll have to check out the Peony Garden when I have a moment, and undercover Zeiss movement perhaps?

It was open again today at 2:30pm, lots of old folders, lots of old fixed-lens rangies, lots of junk. Nothing worth buying for me though.
Thanks,
James

You should also check out stall 79 in Chapel Arcade in Prahran for some FSU stuff and folders. I got a 6X6/35mm projector there a few weeks ago for just $30.

Whoa, which one is Chapel Arcade? Isn't that the food court?

I saw a Nikon rangefinder in Chapel St Bazaar a few months ago, but they seemed to know how much it was worth, alas, so I couldn't afford it. Also my girlfriend was looking over my shoulder reminding me I couldn't afford it!
Edit: I am now relieved of the burden of being financially responsible
