From the FAQs on a web site for a music festival:

What are considered professional cameras and professional digital cameras?
Any camera with a removable lens.

I'm just imagining all those Canikon moms with their cheap DSLRs being told they are a no-no. However, I'm sure that unless you try to sneak in a D3 with 70-200mm lens they'll let it pass. And who's gonna think that tiny, ancient looking rangefinder is a pro camera 😀 So amateurish...

I wouldn't be so sure that you'll be able to sneak your gear in. I've had my RFs correctly assessed as "professional" cameras many times. Don't forget that a lot of people who work music festivals, even the big guys on the security line, are art school types who actually know what a Leica basically is, even if they don't own or use 1. It's the point & shoots & cellphones that always get a pass, so you might be better off w/a Canon G10 or film equivalent.

I saw this regulation posted at a local outdoor concert series... specifically saying no cameras with detachable lenses. Made me think I should go get my Yashica Electro... or even better I'd love to get one of the Fuji 6x7 or 6x9 fixed lens MF rangefinders and try to get in just for the sake of being subversive. But sir... the lens dosn't come off!!
