I paid 35 cents for this photo related item on ebay. Postage included:

If anyone can beat that for a photo related item on ebay, I will pay for their item!
😀

I don't get it. A stamp costs more in the US. Let alone the envelope that I put it on. But here I'm getting an item made by someone, shipped to me from China, for less than the price of a first class stamp!

I'll stand by my word and pay for that item...

😀

There was a strange circumstance that this happened under. I'd bought a lens hood for my 35mm Canon lens from a reputable seller who deals a lot with genuine accessories for older glass and when it got here it was the wrong hood (50mm) and didn't fit. I offered to send it back but to his credit he said keep it and sent me the correct one at no charge for hood or freight. The incorrect hood he sent fitted my 50mm f1.4 perfectly (it was genuine) and I offered to pay for it because of this but he still refused and said "see it as an early Xmas present." I was kind of blown away at the time! 🙂

That's what happens when you're a good egg.

It's the same as growing corn in the US - you don't make any money on the corn, you make it on the subsidy.

I bought a Mamiya m645 body from KEH...when I got it and checked it out I found that the slower speeds (1/8 sec. and slower) were off by double what they should have been...
I called KEH and they said they would send me another one and to keep this one since they didn't want it back...
They sent the second one and it was in excellent condition...shipping was free for both items...
Recently, I bought the Mamiya 70mm 2.8 Leaf Shutter lens for that body and everything works just fine...

I just got an authentic Pentax collapsible hood for 58mm, postage incl. from Japan, for $1.00.

Another "bargain" was a Rollei 35S in good clean condition, but with a shutter issue (shutter fires but seems to be unconnected to the shutter blades). The seller was uncooperative and wouldn't send address details for a return, and became abusive, so eventually eBay awarded me a full refund. Never got it repaired, still sitting in my drawer...:bang:

There were 4 bidders!
Was 35c too much for the other 4?!!!

I wish I could post something for that.

once had won a battery grip for my Minolta A2 for the starting price of 1 Euro. So that he wouldn't have to send we had agreed to meet on the street.
Accidentally I didn't have a single Euro on me, my bad but purely incidental and embarrasing. He didn't have the change neither and was in a hurry, handed me the grip, congratulated me and was gone
