Thanks very much for the tip-off about this. I was unaware of Ara Guler and his work and thoroughly enjoyed the film.
I also came across this YouTube link to a Turkish TV programme about him that I thought was very good.

What a neat idea as an elderly photographer to open a cafe below your studio so you have somewhere to exhibit your work and sit and chat with people when you feel like it.
I think that would be my plan, if only I had built a reputation to support it!!
