At the end of every day as the sun starts to slip away, there's a change in the light.

The mundane and ordinary become far less so, as we move into the night.

The French expression for the evening Golden Hour is "crepescule". A remarkable word for a remarkable time of day for photographers. But of course the term "Golden Hour" technically can also apply to the time just after dawn. I have taken a lot of this type of photo in both mornings and evenings for exactly this reason. Here are a few.

One of the things I learned to cherish about northern Europe is how much angled light there is (when there is any light!).
