Arista2 400 @ 800 + Rodinal.

I'm posting this picture for critique. this was taken during a rally to support a coalition government and give Harper the boot.

I like this picture and I find it funny.

Oh boy, Should I get the popcorn out. . . .

Good thing that Canadians are not as passionate about politics as Americans, or this would get ugly.

BTW - Not a bad picture, but like someone else said: the irony of it. . . .

lol

the detail is not bad considering this is actually a ISO 200 film.

The arista 400 is 200? I shot a roll of arista 400 and a roll of K tmax 400 and was thinking my photos came out overexposed and pale as in your photo NH3 with the arista,..i don't think the arista film is Ktmax at all, won't be ordering anymore either, after the exchange rate, duties, shipping, just isn't worth the dollars.

**Just realized NH3 was shooting arista 2,,i have the 2 and havn't shot any yet,the arista premium
i exposed at 400 and the tmax also at 400 and developed in the same tank with rodinal and
these 2 films are not the same, the tmax looks great and the arista p is pale as in your photo above,
seems to me they skipped a step or 2 in the manufacturing of the premium.
Oh and about the politics,,looks like ignatieff will be our dear leader,,hey not one shot fired and
we'll have our dictator.

It's very low contrast. Also, it's basically just a picture of a funny sign. I was at the protest, and there was a lot going on. I'm thinking there were more interesting pictures to take.

More than a third of the province is covered in forest. No real mountains, though.

Yea, there was even at least one pulp and paper mill there at one time, Prince Albert?

You don't really need SNL when you have our Parliament and it's inmates for entertainment.

Bob

Yes, in geographical central to Northren Saskatchewan there are a lot of trees. In the South - not so much. It is actually interesting flying into Regina because when you hit the city you see trees in otherwise barren looking fields (from the sky).

There are some neat areas and smaller hills around Regina. The Big Muddy isn't too far away - for interesting landscape and Cypress hills in south western SK is at a high elevation with a nice little forest - so even southern Saskatchewan is not completely flat and barren. My wife and I both agree that the stretch from on the Trans-Canada from Medicine Hat to Brooks Alberta is far flatter and less intersting than anything we've seen is Saskatchewan.

Back to the picture and politics: it sure is an interesting time now, isn't it? I can understand having a two party coalition, but a three party coalition? As they say: two is a company, three is a crowd. If it ever happens, I would say it falls apart within 6 months.

It's a two-party coalition with support from the Bloc. They are not IN the coalition.
I would support anything to get rid of that two-faced weasel Harper. I was one of the MAJORITY of Canadians who did NOT vote for him.
The photo is not worth discussing.

Please excuse my ignorance - because I am a transplant - but if the Bloc are not in the coalition, then don't the Liberals and NDP lack seats to actually beat the Conservatives out of government? And if so, what does this mean that the Bloc would "support" the Coalition but not be in it? It seems to be a little at odds with the little I know from coalitions in Germany, and such.

Its quite simple actually. If the Liberal-NDP coalition forward a motion, Bloc would support it - their agreement is until 2010 (?).
