Rolleiflex.. need I say more?🙂
Well, yes, because the little known grey Baby Rolleiflex is a most enchanting, camera to use. It is a pity that such an exquisite camera (and all the other cameras that use 127 film) are the forgotten because the difficulty of film procurement alone takes some planning. But let me say that it is well worth it.
My results continue to get better as I work through the film I have (mostly HP5+ from the Ilford ULF program). Hopefully, I can find a way to share decent images but so far, the posting of images here has become too frustrating and limiting for me.
The Ilford ULF connection has made this new relationship with a grey Baby Rolleiflex possible. Reeling off a couple of feet of film, and rolling my own has become an activity I look forward to, but I really dreaded it before, thinking it was too much trouble. It is not! It is also relatively inexpensive. And I thank Larry for getting me started and organized from the beginning!
The Kodak connection? All you Brownie 127 film users!!!
The enjoyment of our fun cameras begins with film. Ilford is the beginning with 127 film ready to go... you can not buy 127 film anywhere.
If you want to have a lot of choices with film, cutting down 120 is the way to go and I will do that soon myself. But if I am going to shoot 50-100 rolls in the next year or so, I prefer to use available 127 film that only requires ten minutes to roll.
So, with Ilford's special ULF program, we all need to support it. BUY FILM! lots of it! The 2018 ULF order window closes May 25th!!!!!! There is not much time left to order.
Yes, bulk film is a bit of work, it isn't always easy, but I can say from experience, it is worth it!
