Five Goats Hunter
... is hanging up in the bathroom drying!
I just developed the first roll of my own film since I graduated from college in 1994. And everything turned out!!
I'll post some scans after the negs have dried.
I'd forgotten how much fun this was!

i still remember the first time i saw an image come up on a print in the developer tray...
Or the first time I took a strip of negatives off a spool and saw that the film actually did develop.

I have GOT to try this soon.

Feels great, doesn't it? Ahh...the reward of a roll well developed.
Just don't let it hang by a draft. It'll curl your negative even if you weight it down.
Enjoy!

It took me two milliseconds to realize you were not dying in the bathroom hanging from a rope !
Now, after that, all is well. I know the feeling, and few things are equal to that feeling. Probably you get the same one when you hang your first print to dry...
Congrats captain !!!!!

Congratulations. I just hung a roll myself. There's nothing like taking a roll off of the spool and seeing that silver emulsion with juuuusssst the right density.

Here's a couple of shots from the roll. Delta 400 souped in Rodinal 1+25, taken with a Canonet QL17 GIII. They were scanned on a Minolta Dual Scan IV. I punched up the contrast using the Levels tool in PS. Other than that, they're basically untouched.
Delta 400 sure does come out grainy in Rodinal!

Great photos captainslack. Don't you love the smell of developer in the morning? Or even in the evening.

The Delta's are my favorite. If you want less grain, try DDX.
Alright, ya made pictures!!!!

Mental Experimental.
Try Rodinal at a higher dilution next time...1:50 or 1:100. It'll make development time longer but could ease the grain a bit.

I'm gonna try that with my next roll. We'll see how it comes out!
