I pulled the trigger and bought a very pristine looking Xpan 1 (for Xpan1's that is). Arrived yesterday and it was quite funny feeling the pressure of the event of my first film shot in about 20 years, best guess, maybe only 17-18.
Of course, after all of that, taking the photo indoors, about 15 minutes later it was a matter of "Oh (expletive deleted), the white balance!!".
It really gets you thinking about everything and never a thought of the second back up shot despite the slow shutter speed.
And it's a long way to check the corners on the pano from left to right.

White balance? You digi people worry too much.
Just relax and shoot. Any issues with color get resolved in scanning.
