Hi, got the name from another very successful thread!
Beside the funny name, i want to now what the G1 G2 will not do!
Sometimes it´ll make a good pic but the others (most of´em) won´t be any good! and a waste of film, time, money and precious moments!
The first, my daughter Olivia, wanted to focus on her, but just couldn´t. The result is ok to me, thou.
2nd one, not so good, the window frame got all the attention!
3rd one, i just can´t believe i missed it! it´s not cropped, full frame 90 mm @ f2.8!
Well, let´s see what will come up!
Bye & thanks!

Yeah....
Never saved any of 'em.Of course the negs are somewhere but I'm certainly not going to search 'em out.
Some reckon that the Contax G-series could do no wrong; some reckon it was complete ordure; and quite a few (like me) loved the quality when it focused, which was probably 99% of the time or better. We just didn't care for the other 1% or so.
Cheers,
R.

I bought a G1 this summer and have had lots of fun with it. So far - knock on wood - I've had no focus trouble. I read somewhere that it's a good idea to check the distance indicator in the VF when focusing, to make sure that AF is really working.
As for the 90mm - I've read that it can be a difficult lens to focus. A few half-pushes of the shutter button are neccessary to get it focused properly.

The Fairness Doctrine requires a thread showing mis-focused manual RF photos.
