The best camera is one that still works!
This young man died in a freak accident during a cricket match a day or so ago here in Australia.
There has of course been a lot of media attention to such a tragic event but the one thing that has really stood out for me is this portrait that I 'borrowed' from the internet. It has cropped up several times at various sites and I'm stunned at how much it affects me when I look at it. My sense of loss and grief is almost overpowering ... much more so than any words I have heard or read about this very unfortunate incident.
The power of the still image is remarkable ... and always will be IMO.

Yes, I see what you mean Keith. A soulful portrait, and his intense gaze is captivating. How sad this young guy is gone.
