furcafe has advised me that the s2 is in the mail!!

sent by express post there is a possibility that it might be here by friday!

the countdown begins...

joe :)

Lol :D

Good luck with it! I'm envious!

Just make sure someone's home (and awake) to get the mail - I missed out
on my post this morning because I slept in til 10 minutes after they knocked with my packaged of film! Grr

tick tock, tick tock, hahah, I know it's hard, I was frenetic waiting for my RF645 to arrive. Pacing around, trying to keep myself busy, almost like waiting for the baby to be borne.

Dont you need a 35mm as well? May be a 85mm, too?

Where was it Nick took JC?

Noel

of course a 35 would be nice.
brian is on the lookout for a good jupiter 12 (?) and i am keepng my eyes open for a nice 35/2.5 nikkor.

but i want for nothing ;)

Jan N. got his camera from me in under a week from Virginia. My film coming back from BJ's is taking LONGER than that, and it's got the adjusted Menopta and Helios test in it.

I'll be on the lookout for a J-12.

the nikon is in canada...eastern canada, ontario, missisauga (sp?).
it just might be here by friday...large smile on my face.

joe: I think you would really, really like a medium format RF ... Bronica, Mamiya, Fuji ... something along those lines. Go big or go home.

earl, just stop it!!

i had 2 mamiya 6's with 75 and 150 lenses, what a sweet set up that was.

but i prefer the size of 35mm gear.

joe

no nikon today!!

the canada post website still has it in ontario.
the bad weather back east might have slowed things down some.

i'll have to stick with the contax and the duel of the sonnar 50's for the weekend.

the post office misplaced my house.

they tried to deliver the nikon yesterday (when i was at home) but something went off kilter and they returned the nikon back to the delivery office to verify my address.

then today (when i was at work) they rang my bell to find no one at home so they returned the nikon to the local postal outlet where i can pick it up TOMORROW!

and more good news is that my domke 803 also is waiting at the postal outlet so i can pick up both with the one trip.

one sleep and a whole day at work between me and the s2.

joe

You've really been through it waiting on this one! I'd have been on my bike chasing after the postal truck (as i've done on more than one occasion)..

Joe:

"Sortation." I've learnt a new word!

Tomorrow's the day for you. Bad news is you'll have to change your avatar.
