I am sure this sophisticated crowd is not interested, but here is a near full-frame fisheye lens for any Leica M camera, the M8 included. It is the Russian Peleng 8mm f/3.5 180 degree fisheys lens available on eBay. I will have fun with this lens!

Yes, it is scale focused. With the immense depth of field, who needs RF focusing?

I'm guessing it is scale-focused?

Yes, but at wide open f/3.5 the hyperfocal distance is from under one meter to infinity. You really don't need to focus the lens, just use the f/stop to sharpen up the edges if you want. You can scale focus to 0.22 meter, but since I use the lens at f/8, I just focus the lens at 1 meter and I am set.

I have used a Canon 7.5mm lens on an M6 via an adapter. Sophisticated stuff!

Tell me about this Canon lens! Where did you get it, do you have a pix of it, what is the designation/manufacture date of it?

The Canon 7.5mm lens was made for the Canon manual focus FD SLR system. You can still find such lenses on ebay or at keh.com. I was using it on Canon T90 and F1N cameras, but have been using it also on my M6 and Canon P. I bought a fish-eye door peep viewer and glued it to a flash attachment to get a cheap but excellent fisheye viewfinder.
