Here's my third roll that I shot with my Zorki+Industar-22. It was a Kodak T400CN, which was a loooong time expired
My first roll (a Portra 400VC) will be scanned on Monday, so more pictures then. Gee baby, ain't I good to you ?
With this third roll, I'm getting somewhere with my framing and exposure. The Zorki VF actually seems wider than the 50mm Industar: I was always losing the edges. I'm now framing much more generously, and it looks much better. As for exposure, I'm trying to use my light meter as little as possible, i.e. meter once and then only when the light changes dramatically. Or guesstimate the difference between the previous scene and the current one. Most shots were done like this on this roll, and the results are good.
The T400CN gives a much heavier impression than the XP2 that I shot before. The XP2 is more fairy-like (to use a non-standard term). I like both, and I probably prefer XP2 for people shots: it gives a more delicate and flattering image. T400CN seems better for buildings, for example, I'd expect industrial sites to come out looking all dirty and oily. My next roll is a Neopan400. The shop where I go for my photographic fix every now and then advised me the Neopan100 Acros, but with my current setup (f3.5, 1/25s max) I don't want to get 100ISO film yet. I might get some when I get a 50/f2.0 lens off the 'bay one of these days.
Not that I don't like the Industar-22, come on, just look at what it produces ! I just want more light, I want it here and I want it now. That's all. I've been considering a 35mm as well. For randomly framed shots (shoot from the hip while walking etc.) it would be an advantage, but for shots framed with the eye, I like the 50mm perspective quite a lot. And there ain't no faster one than an f2.0 that's collapsible.
Here's a selection of 5 photos. In addition to these 5, I've added 15 others to my gallery: 2 new shots in rangefinder, 7 in straatfotografie, 4 in passages (a start for a small project I have in mind) and 7 in the BKGo folder covering the Belgian Championships of Go (a strategic board game). Opinions on the ones in the gallery are also very welcome.

Hi Peter- I have this combination of camera and lens as well. I haven'thad time to try it yet. Now, as a result of the shots you've posted I'meager to try it out.
I'll try to keep in mind your experience with broader framing.

Looks like you and the Zorki are off to a good start. I had opted for the Jupiter.8 for my 50mm shots almost entirely, so just for funzies, I pulled one of my Industars off the shelf. Since, I've been using a Zorki.1/Industar.22 & Leica.III/Industar.50 exclusively for the last three weeks or so. I have absolutely no complaints from the little collapsibles.

There's one reason why I won't swap my Industar-22 for a Summarit/Canon1.8/... that people here are speaking so highly of. Those are probably darn fine lenses, but I want my lens to collapse. When collapsed, the Zorki with the lens are so portable, they're now in my coat pocket every time I leave the house. Every time. I've never done that before with any camera, including my Minolta TC-1 P&S (probably because I put it in a belt bag instead of in my coat pocket). This, plus the fact that the mechanical quality of the Zorki is addictive to use, has got me shooting more than I've ever done when at home, some days even challenging past days off traveling (and traveling alone, I shot quite a bit).
So as I mentioned above, I'm getting an 50/f2.0 and possibly, for streetshooting, a 35mm Summaron (looks small enough and reportedly far better than an Elmar 35mm) and then I'll pick one lens, put it on the Zorki, leave all the rest home except for film and shoot until I get back home. I'm having fun
I've dropped the costs of development by not ordering prints anymore, but just having the film scanned. I'm on PC most of the time anyway, and when they're in the gallery, I can show them to friends more easily. Maybe in time, I'll do development myself again (but I don't have any room dark enough where I live now) and get a scanner, but that's far in the future. For now: Zorki, collapsible and *lots* of film Peter.

i like that ches photo. very nice interior shot for slower lens. that i22 is relly nice.
