this a good price for a tri elmar?

in a search for some domke wraps i started looking around the net.

while checking out the clearance section of my local camera store i noticed the tri elmar for 1995 cdn. (that's about 1800 u.s.) is that a good price?

and no, i'm not even thinking about it.

this is the same place that had the hex 90 for 395. cdn, also brand new at clearance.

No, really. A big lens defeats the purpose of a RF camera. IMO

the hex 90 is not big, i have never seen a tri elmar but i'll have to look next time i'm in the store.

Depends on whetjer its a type 1 or 2. If a type 1, its probably just a bit too expensive, but if a type 2 then its probably just this side of reasonable - all other things being equal and based on UK prices (which tend to be a bit higher than the US).

I was thinking about the tri-elmar, but then, owning an RD-1, I thought that the Hexanon dual may be more useful given the crop factor.
Problem is that information about the hexanon dual is a bit scarce, and it looks almost impossible to find.

it's listed as clearance, which means new but in the display case for a while.
