Still own my fair share of rangefinders but lately my bag can be seen carrying a Nikon D7000 with a trio of Nikon manual focus lenses.
24mm AiS f2, 50mm AiS f1.8, 105mm AiS f2.5. FOV is 35, 75, 157. Sweet.
 
That's the perfect kit. How do you like the D7000? I've been tempted to buy into digital but I'd love to have a full frame kit, although I've heard the D7000 is something special.

Oh and, if you don't mind if I hijack your thread for a sec, just want to see if I can get this question answered here:

Anyone know if the Nikon 105mm f/2.5 AIS fits on a Nikon F100 okay?

Of course it does.
 
Cameron - I like my D7000 or D7k as I call it.
With a Series E 50mm 1.8 on it, it becomes a totally different camera than I'm used to since my main lens has been the 18-200 which I got with the camera.
I can understand where Akiva is coming from with that kit of lenses. If I were doing it I'd use my 24mm 2.8, the aforementioned 50mm and a sweet little Vivitar 75-150 I was recently given. The 18-200 is a tad bulky, but it sure does a nice job.
 
Also besides the 24/2, the kit is very cheap. (The less expensive 24/2.8 would work just fine. )
 
Just arrived in NYC for a long weekend of street shooting. "Crapped out" and brought my M3 with 50mm 'cron. So much for Joe I roll. Tehe

Galen Rowell spoke very highly of the 24/2.8.

But about that 24/2, what do you think of it? Lots of words out there about how it's soft. I have one in AiS actually but have never ever used it. Got it for almost nothing because 'now that digital is here it won't work'. Highway robbery.

Now days for me it's an MP and 28 Elmarit ASPH. :)

Akviva, how are you focusing? That's what has kept me from using manual focus lenses on my Nikon DSLRs.
 
Have yet to "buy in" to digital, however. .. ... my 105/2.8 locks in quite well on my Nikomat FTn as well as my FT2 thankyou.
