...when i lifted the canon f1 out of the box this afternoon!
the body plus the 24 fd lens is a workout for these tired old bones...
but what a lovely bit of gear...looks all shiny and new...
i highly recommend to anyone that hesitates on the bigger fuji lenses because of size or weight to pick up an old film camera and carry it around for awhile and you won't even notice the newer lenses.
and i am impressed with the seller's packing ability...a box inside a box with tons of bubble wrap and styro peanuts...
took me a minute to remember how to set up hyperlocal distance for focus free street shooting...4 feet to infinity at f8, iso 400...
i am looking forward to playing with it on the weekend.

Wow Joe, now you've joined the big league.. enjoy! Remember weights training is good for us as we get older
- perhaps once you're used the F1 you could add a motor drive!

Even when just a young lad in my 20's I preferred to keep the weight down. When the OM came out I bought into the system with glad cries. Previously I had the half frame Pen and a couple of lenses so didn't have heavy cameras to begin with. In the last decade or so I reconnected with a Pen F and acquired a modest set of 4 primes from 20mm to 100mm. Now, at 67 my go to kit is either the Pen F or OM-4Ti, never both.
