Hi,
Anyone using the thumb support device that attaches to the flash bracket to give additional stability to the camera? In my hands, the camera tends to get quiet unstable in the vertical position. Wondering if this support will help.
Thanks--ajpat

Yes, I'm using Thumbs Up CESP-1 which I consider essential for the M8 and which I prefer to the handgrip that Leica sells.

anybody using the thumbs up and the hand grip together???
In response to the OP: When I tried the thumbs up on the M8 Classic, I really wanted to change the covering on the front of the camera to a material with greater grip.

Yes to both

I have been using the Tim Issacs TU 1 since it's origin. I am still using it on my M3. I also have the CSEP 1 and 4 that I use on the M8.
I use them in conjunction with the Luigi Grip case, or the MD/ML Grip from PhotoEquip.
I shoot more hand held than before. I have large hands, and this combo has proved to be the ultimate answer to my needs. This combo of TU and Grip has freed me from the Tripod in most situations, although I still have the need for a Tripod, but not as much now.

thumbs up for the TU

I consider my TU indispensible for my M8. Tim developed a great product.

Thanks, Artorius.
I just fixed a patch of griptac from Morgan at Cameraleather on the back of my M8 where the thumb goes, so I will see how that works. Initial feeling is that it really improves the thumb grip!

I use a TU mod3. I wouldn't take it off the camera now. The combination of TU and the Luigi case with the slight bump is sublime, very comfortable to use.

Why would you need anything on the grip? I am sure that Tim would be interested in your reasoning, as he is open to all suggestions. It is customer feedback that makes his products that much better.

Another trick I use on some of my RFs for a better grip is a patch of skateboard tape.
